I'll tune in.  I want to see how ZNN does going against the Mets again.
It will be painful if we let the Mets AAA team destroy us again.

Although losing 2-1 would suck worse than losing 7-1. :(

We'll get one, maybe two chanced to get runs vs. Santana.  If we can get runs in during those opportunities, we'll give have a chance.

Well, SF is back, so back to boring old regular Nathan tonight.

I'd love to stun Johan with 5 ER against him tonight, including a Dunn homer.  A man can dream, can't he?

this sucks. It is no fun watching a game where you have 0.0% chance to win. it's already over before it even starts. :(

Let's make it fun and stake something on the game. I propose a temporary ban (no game threads for the rest of the road trip perhaps?) for those who insist the game is already over and the Nats have no shot. I am not going to even entertain this loser's mentality. I say we win tonight's ballgame. Care to take me up on that sportsfan?

He might be able to get 10K's the first thime through the lineup if he wanted to.

this.  i was impressed with the way he threw against the o's.  all my dbag o's fans friends were like damn you weren't kidding this JZ kid is legit.

as much as we/i rag on this team, it's still fun to watch the kids go out and play ... hoping that these "components of the plan" can actually give us a winner one day.

I like watching the kids too but this is far from fun right now. Getting beat handedly by a short-handed Mets team two nights in a row sucks.

Why can't we just play solid, average baseball?

I thought MacDougal opted to become a FA?

He's pitching in Syracuse right now. I bet the Nats told him that they were going to call him up after this game.

I'll do that.

You need to place odds on it. Nationals are 13-32, they have a ~29% chance of winning the game. Close enough to 25%. If SF loses, he wears the avi for 4 times as long.

I've always find myself wondering this?  Why is "average baseball" like the impossible dream with this team?  Every player on this roster, even the youngest, have played organized baseball for at least a decade.  Why can't we be average?

Hell, why do we have to be so far away from average?  It makes no sense!

exactly. We have a team that is quite capable of playing average baseball and being a ~.500 team. I just can't believe that they are 18 games under. It's a combination of many things including being cursed. Everything that can go wrong goes wrong for this team.

Guzman should have been benched before this game.

His defense has been lacking and he is swinging for the fences on every pitch.

would have been awful if he threw him out.
