Guaranteed loss tomorrow night.

Absolutely. The only question mark tomorrow is whether Zimmermann will get shelled or will he perform well against the Mets AAA team.

the CG is complete. vintage Livan. he'll always be a beast in my book.

o well, the 2nd half of Cavs/Magic should be intense.

Definately one of the low points in a season of low points. No way do you let Livan do this to you. The Mets were also playing a AAAA lineup. This one is embarrassing.

Let's see:

"I liked the way the guys battled tonite. We were just facing a guy that was on top of his game"

"Livan will do this to you. He's an ace"

"I think we are close to getting things turned around. Hard to turn things around though when you're facing a quality pitcher like Livan"

What an embarrasment by the Nationals. Score one run against Livan f'in Hernandez, who while I still content is a great pitcher... Any team that scores one run against him has some major problems. Six runs scored by the Met's AAA team. More insane decisions by a freaking pathetic manager. Horrible calls by the 3B coach. Horrible pitching that at times was actually laughable (see Bergmann). Giving up two home runs in two home nights to old man Sheffield who had four going into the series. And tomorrow we face Johan. Oh, and we had another f'ing error tonight/.

Let's face it, the offense has died and the losses have truly gripped hold of this team mentally and we're in for a long season if Manny stays and the team has no reason to get revitalized. Our offense was our only bright spot. Worst pitching in the majors. Worst fielding in the majors. And now our offense looks like last year. If Manny doesn't get his ass removed soon, this is going to be a season where the only exciting part come September will be if we can beat the '62 Mets mark of futility or not.

My rant for the night.

GAME OVER.  WE LOSE.

“The mind is a strange thing, men.
We must begin by asking it…
…What is losing?
Losing is a disease…
…as contagious as polio.
Losing is a disease…
…as contagious as syphilis.
Losing is a disease…
…as contagious as bubonic plague…
… attacking one…
… but infecting all."

I bet Chief lifts the ban and sportsfan posts his entire diatribe that he would've posted had he been allowed here in real time.

Yup, just for tonight's game.  But he conducted a seance and channeled his energies into about a dozen other posters who then took up his sword in his absence.

how did he get banned?  he should get benched one or two days a week.  like a starting catcher would.

i'd like him to be benched more than that, like wil nieves playing time. or maybe we can DFA him with d-crab and call it a day (a damn good one at that).
