Fat lot of good it did us.  Ortiz caught going for third on what had to have been the worst "slide" of the year.

why did Ortiz freaking run to 3rd?? He would have been in scoring position at 2nd with Nick up.  This team never ceases to amaze me.

Why would they try to get a pitcher to third in that instance?  Was the Vidro single that good?

Well it was a really good throw, I fully expected Ortiz to get to third.  He seemed surprised to even have to slide, I think he didn't think he would have to.

EDIT - I can't find the record for cumulative runs by innings.

Most By Inning, SCORED DURING THE 4th INNING ALONE (2 Teams)
AL: Chicago 13 vs Washington 0 = 13, 09-26-1943
NL: Hartford 15 vs New York 0 = 15, 05-13-1876
Chicago 14 vs Philadelphia 1 = 15, 08-25-1922

Jamey Carroll

hits a homerun

....AT RFK

Would you like some lube with that?

Seriously, I would love to hear anyone nag about hitting homers in this park.

EVER AGAIN.

It looks like Bray has been overworked too.  I think the only reliever in our pen who hasn't been overworked is the Chief.

I don't have a problem with losing Carol...but to watch him hit a home run at RFK stadium is just completely amazing.

Off some of the worst pitching the home team at RFK has thrown in a good long while.

bray...come on now

stop pitching balls....single after single after single

Yes, the nats do need pitching and these hs pitchers they drafted won't help em' anytime soon.
