If the score stays the same to the ninth, is this a save opportunity?

Bat jinx paid off...
Soriano is on a pace to hit 61 Home Runs, to tie Roger Maris...[/b]

Don't lie, you had that ready to go and posted it as soon as you saw Fonzie hit the ball ;)

I had the copy set on another Smiley, so I had to copy the bat.
I pasted the Bat, and had "Their pitcher su" typed in when he hit it out.  So it was on his way.  THAT's why we need a fast leadoff guy - when Sori is leadoff, he hits it out too fast.  I saw it coming though...
Let's jinx Philly with some Black Cats.. DP before I could copy it...Does the INTENTION count as a jinx???

Now I gotta get the bat ready, but Schneider's the only one awake.

I'd rather score some runs than have a save opportunity.

But that's just me...

Saves:
Rule 10.20 in the Official Rule Book states:
Credit a pitcher with a save when he meets all three of the following conditions:
(1) He is the finishing pitcher in a game won by his club; and
(2) He is not the winning pitcher; and
(3) He qualifies under one of the following conditions:
- (a) He enters the game with a lead of no more than three runs and pitches for at least one inning; or
- (b) He enters the game, regardless of the count, with the potential tying run either on base, or at bat, or on deck (that is, the potential tying run is either already on base or is one of the first two batsmen he faces; or
- (c) He pitches effectively for at least three innings. No more than one save may be credited in each game.

So if Rivera would've finished the game, he would've gotten a save?
