Wouldn't changing your bat from ash to maple screw your timing up, since isn't maple heavier?

I think he just wants the play by play to be exciting, that's all. It doesn't work for me, but he is such a nice guy...

I wasn't being a smart ass. I think that ash is heavier than maple but there are a lot of species of maple.

Maple is a bit harder and a lot more likely to explode. Ash cracks.
