Not to mention two more shots to the head after she was already helpless laying on her back after the kick.  What a fine sport.

Has more to do with the referee stepping in sooner.

Yeah, I'm sure you're right. It's just that you just see a lot of MMA guys packing it in sooner. They seem more aware of traumatic brain injury.

Then there's this. http://espn.go.com/mma/story/_/id/10690370/study-shows-mma-brain-injury-risk-higher-boxing

What would you prefer?  It's a "combat" sport, it's supposed to be brutal.

Baseball, football, basketball, hockey (except for the moronic fighting   ) and just about any do it yourself outdoor sport.

The Lawler-Condit fight was awesome. Condit probably deserved the win, though.

UFC sold to a sports entertainment marketing group for $4 billion, Dana White will remain in a major position.

And that's it, Punk gets choked out at around the 2 minute mark after getting beaten up the entire time.

I don't follow the action but I was glad to see she got whooped.    Be gone.

Deadspin has a nice summary

The entire fight was all over twitter last night. It was brutal.
