Caught Justified last night on FX. Solid start to the show.

You guys should definitely give it a look.

It was slow... I will give him that; disagree with the rest.

Yeah, I didn't see it. Just thought the two reactions were quite different. Some critics hate stuff just to hate it.

Okay, now THAT was an awesome Lost episode. Definitely the best one of the season.

Not only was it the best one of the season, I really think it was the best episode LOST has ever done.

Only thing that comes close is The Constant.

Yep, those are my two favorite episodes. The pilot episodes are the only other ones that I gave a 10/10.

Edit: I also gave Man of Science, Man of Faith a 10/10.

I love history, and WWII is as intense and deep as it gets.

Amen to that.  I took two upper level history classes in college on the subject ("World War II" and "World War II and the Third Reich").  I also own around a 100 or so books on the subject.  I have a really big family, so a lot of my older relatives were apart of the war including both of my grandfathers.  I would badger the crap out of them for stories when I was younger and probably still would today if they were still alive.  WWII has always been a fascination of mine.

I finally saw that first two episodes of "The Pacific" and loved them, but the cast is not anywhere near as good as the first.  I don't think it is going to matter though, because Tom Hanks always does a wonderful job on these mini-series.  I've always thought it would be cool if they continued with a third series on the North African campaign, which was by far my favorite campaign to learn about in college

I'm new to Top Gear.  I'm sure it's mentioned in here somewhere, but hot dang!  It's great!  Last week with the hybrid and the wind tunnel.

And this week with the camper and the blimp!

Great show.  There were talks of an American version with Adam Carolla (many ways that's funny  ) but I don't know how great it'd be without Jezza.

How are you guys able to watch Top Gear?  I thought it didn't air in the States?  I usually just watch old eps on Youtube or whatever.

Sadly, I don't have it in HD, but the rumor is they'll be adding it in HD sometime this summer.  Hope that's right, though I won't really be watching much other than the Nats during the summer starting on Monday.

I'm not much of a fan of Adam Carolla.  The American version of the Office is great and I think far exceeds the Ricky Gervais version, but I can't see the American version of Top Gear being done nearly as successfully.

I don't think America has the same kind of car culture as the UK either.

that could be.  I am not a "car guy" by any measure so I probably wouldn't be a good judge of that.

Replying to ronny and Linty: The Richard ep was AMAZING! Definitely my top 3 with Constant and Greatest Hits.

To people who have seen Flashforward and V... Is it worth a watch?

The new episode was eh. BTW the first two miniseries are badass, and the original regular series is free at thewb.com

V is back and the ep was pretty decent.  I'm excited about the show's return.

Since the last time I visited this thread, I'm on season 2 of The Wire, and I'm still in love with Mad Men and Dexter (my two shows of 2009).  I'm all caught up on 24, need to do a better job on House and How I Met Your Mother.

The show I have been hooked on this week, was "The Tudors".  I finished season 1.  I'm not a huge fan of old English history, but Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays an awesome King Henry VIII.  It's a bit slow, but the casting and character development are great (if you notice I have a taste for both).  Showtime has produced some solid TV programs as of late (Dexter, Californiacation, Weeds, Nurse Jackie, The Tudors).

YES!

Go out and rent the first season on DVD, Then the second, then the third, then the fourth, then the fifth and by that time, the sixth and final season should almost be out on DVD.

The show hits a rough patch from the middle of Season 2 to the middle of Season 3... but from then on it is amazing.
