Watching Scrubs reruns make me realize why they canceled the new series. It's like New Coke, and the original is Coke Classic.

Maybe that's a bad analogy, as the new one seemed OK until I had my memory refreshed.

I don't mind the new ones. Drew is freaking awesome. Don't like the protagonist girl tho.

The new ones are OK. Not anywhere near as good as the old guys, but few can match Turk and JD.

It's canceled, BTW. They'll show the last two in March. I spent like an hour on google trying to figure out where the show went, it was supposed to move to Wednesdays.

I like the Australian girl myself  8)

I'm liking this new show on History called "Food Tech" with Bobby Bognar.  I like food and I like tech, so I enjoy the show.  It's basically a "how it's made" type show for food. I've only seen 2 episodes so far.

The first was cheeseburgers and fries.  Showed the making of the bun, the cheese, the ketchup, the lettuce harvest, pickles, etc.  The other one I've seen was Mexican food.  I liked the section on harvesting agave piñas and making tequila at the Patron distillery the best in that ep. :glug:

The consensus is that Scrubs is done after the 2 episodes already taped.

The actual slaughter, no.  I knew one of the vegetarians on the board would bring that up :?

I'm sorry, but what can I say, I love meat.

Yeah, rare steak is so good. That's my problem.

I fell asleep after the chicken part of Food Inc., so I'm thinking of giving up poultry  :icon_mrgreen:

Stay by the computer. The Tofurkey mobile has been dispatched. Don't be alarmed. The PETA police will shortly be along to teach you more varied cooking skills and an appreciation of pleather.

It's by the fast food nation people. I fell asleep because I was exhausted - the movie is very interesting.

I think you'll enjoy it.  It's my favorite channel by far, especially once we get in season.

Back in the day, The Real World was a compelling show about real people and their problems. The even had to have jobs (shocking!) It became a drunken sexfest for idiots.

I feel like this week's episode, featuring a young man working for HRC and struggling to be himself around his family, got somewhere near the old days when Pedro was discussing AIDS.  I was just watching it for the exterior shots of DC in summer until now.
