Michael O'Connor, LHP (2-2, 2.89)O'Connor will face the Astros for the first time in his career. O'Connor had another quality start, going six innings and giving up two runs on six hits against the Orioles last Friday. He struck out five and walked three. It was the first time he faced the Orioles, the team he idolized as a kid growing up in Ellicott City, Md., just 13 miles from Orioles Park.
VS.Roy Oswalt, RHP (5-3, 3.57) Oswalt allowed three runs over 6 1/3 innings on May 19, taking a no-decision in a game the Astros came from behind to win. Oswalt yielded a season-high 11 hits but was pleased with his command. He also toyed with a split-fingered fastball and was satisfied with the results. He is likely to use that pitch more in the future. Oswalt faced the Nationals at Minute Maid Park in his second start on April 8, allowing five runs over 6 1/3 in a no-decision.
