I prefer the Xbox 360's controller over the PS3, but the PS3 has The Show.  So there's that.  I'm on my original 360 from pretty close to launch day and it's still working.  Granted, I don't play it very often, and now that it's banned from XBL from when I got hacked and my debit card charged $250 for MS points I don't use it at all.

I also have 2 PS3's

Send me one! Send me one!

Well, once EA / another Third Party makes a MLB game next year, PS3 will become obsolete.

one of the top 5 "features" of the game was the soundtrack :lmao:

yeah i was totally being sarcastic ... plus i don't see myself getting into ME3 (although the trailer was :az: esque)

i'll still buy it though, seeing how i love baseball and there are no other options.

It's the only reason why I'm buying it. Not the quality game and intriguing story line. :P

You know they modeled one of the main characters in ME2 after Yvonne Strahovski (the blonde chick from Chuck)

Yeah but she's a main character and a fairly interesting one.  The chobot, uh, bot...  also looks hideous.

Okay.  Either I missed your sarcasm before, in which case I tip my cap to you.  Or, you're even worse than I thought

Chief, I like quality video games. I love the Uncharted series because it tears at my feelings while also providing a fun, action packed game. At the same time, I like a good looking gal in my media. I'm only a male. I'm typically not serious haha.

PS3 sucks, so I'm stuck with whatever XB360 puts out.

So you're stuck with a crap baseball game. Have fun with that... FWIW, my damn PS3 just died on me. The lens went out but I can still play downloaded stuff and stream Netflix. Sucks though, but I've had it since '06, how many 360 owners can say they've owned the same one sans repairs for that long?

BTW this is the last year of 2k's deal with MLB so if this game flops (like it prob will), they may not renew and you may be SOL

Honestly, I have no issue with the 360 or anything, I do however hate fanboys. I'm a Sony guy, but I'm not gonna bust anyone's balls about the game quality, both systems have awesome games on them, I just prefer the PS3 and will buy another one with tax money I reckon. Well, if the wife will let me.

Exactly. I used to love my Xbox but I really love my PS3 and my free online gaming, though the social interaction really sucks compared to XBOX. The exclusives on the PS3 intrigue me more (mostly the Show), and other than that the systems are pretty even.

I love Uncharted! I haven't had the chance to play the newest one though. The only 360 exclusive that remotely interests me is Forza, but I'm fine with Gran Turismo.

It gives room for other developers to make an MLB game. Hopefully EA has already planned too.

But doesn't The Show still have the rights? Or can EA opt in too and thus, we will see a resurgence of MVP baseball? :D

The Show was able to continue making games because 2K only bought the 3rd party rights, which meant they were the only non-system owned developer that could make MLB games. Since Sony is obviously owned by Sony, they were allowed to continue to make The Show.

With 2K's license coming up after this year, any company is now free to make an MLB game again, as long as they pay for the MLB license.

This differs from Madden/2K/NFL because Madden bought all of the rights to NFL games, so it didn't matter if you were first party or third party, only EA had the right to make NFL games.

i've owned my box since I believe '07 or '08 and it's still working.

Uh, no. I bought my PS3 in '06. You got your 360 in '07 or '08. That's a difference in about 1 or 2 years. Besides, like I said, there's a lot more bricked 360s out there than PS3s. But like Chief said, build quality doesn't necessarily mean better overall system. Both are pretty bad ass in their own right, to each his own.

(1) There is no publicly available evidence to support this claim that does not suffer from sample size or bias issues.  (2) "a lot" is very vague.

(3) This.  Comparing consoles based on the perceived reliability of the hardware is the last refuge of the fanboy.  Except in very extreme cases like Linty's, hardware issues really have no bearing on which console has the better games or services.

Uncharted 3 is good. Don't listen to the whiney babies out there that are saying it isn't as good as previous games. I would be concerned if every game in a series is exactly the same like some of them expect it to be.

There isn't going to be a consensus, can we please get the thread back on topic?  I can split off the console stuff if you guys really want to continue discussing it.
