A few notes I want to pass along about the Harrisburg Senators:
- SS prospect Ian Desmond was placed on the disabled list early this past week with a lower back strain. He hasn't played since May 5th and is scheduled to come off the disabled list on May 21st.
- Catcher prospect Salomon Manriquez tweaked his hamstring last Saturday (5/6) and hasn't played since then. He has not been placed on the DL.
- The first three games of the Harrisburg at Akron series this weekend have been rained out; the two teams will try to play a doubleheader today (5/14), something they also tried to do the last 2 days. The Senators will not return to Akron the remainder of the season, so at least 2 makeup games will be played in Harrisburg; those games will undoubtedly become parts of doubleheaders in Harrisburg. If today's doubleheader in Akron is rained out, the Senators will host 4 doubleheaders against the Aeros.
