Belliard with a 2-run bomb to tie the game in the bottom of the 7th. Too bad because the pitcher was pitching a no hitter and was taken out because of a high pitch count. The reliever came in and freaked up badly.

I was in class and couldn't watch. I saw he had a walk and two SBs. Maybe someone else can comment who watched the game. They play again tomorrow though at 5 PM.

Both teams looked pretty bad. It was like an all-old-guy Minor League game.

Jorge Padilla is playing for Mazatlan

apparently he was the MVP of the Mexican Winter League.

so let's get a list of all the Nationals playing in the Carribbean Series.

so far we've got Hernandez and Belliard for Licey, and Padilla for Mazatlan.

Padilla is on the Puerto Rican team.

Jorge Sosa is on Licey. That's it.

my bad.  yeah Padilla is on the Puerto Rican team.  he was MVP of the PR League, not the Mexican one.

so

Licey(Dominican Republic):
Hernandez
Belliard
Sosa

Ponce(Puerto Rico):
Padilla

Licey lost 3-2 to Venezuela. Belliard hit a 2-run HR. AH had a walk and two steals.

Puerto Rico and Mexico are playing right now.

Licey plays Puerto Rico tomorrow at 5 PM EST.

ah crap, we forgot about OFer Ricardo Nanita who is playing for Licey. The Nats drafted him in the AAA phase of the Rule-5 Draft that took place in December.

Yeah, I was really surprised. I've seen better college teams.

The announcers keep saying that it has to be the batter's eye or something.  Adrian Gonzalez is struggling (.143 ba) and he is no slouch.

Finally some runs. :clap:

Dominican Republic currently trails Mexico 6-5 in the bottom of the 4th inning. Thus far Belliard is 0/2 and Hernandez is 0/1 with 2 walks and a run.

Nats Minor Leaguer Jorge Sosa started for Licey (D.R.) and has gotten shelled: 4 IP 8 H 6 R 6 ER 2 BB 2 K. Adrian Gonzalez hit a 2-run bomb off of him.
