Over at http://www.baseball-fever.com there has been this silly little game. Each team starts out with 10 points. Then posters on the board get to vote one vote FOR their favorite team, and one vote AGAINST another team. When a team goes down to zero, that team is eliminated. (The Yankees were the first team eliminated. I wonder why?) There have been a few glitches, of course. The Atlanta Braves were mistakenly reported to be eliminated, but by the time that mistake was noticed, it was too late to do anything about it.

The Nats managed to survive to the final round thanks to an alliance with the Orioles who are their final opponent. Well, the game is in its final throes, and we are ten votes away from winning the whole thing. If you have registered for this game, you might want to vote (assuming you have not already done so yet) and then pop the champagne corks. The only thing I ask is only gloat about it HERE or at the MLB Nat board. I know how painful this would be if it were the other way around.
