Dunn OF, Kent 2b.
Kent great power for 2b, Dunn great power for OF
Defense, both awful (you can agrue the degree of awfulness if you want)
Career OBP .381 to .356
Attitude Have you ever been a club house with either guy, I haven't.
The are great comps in that they are guys who put up numbers but aren't great
Again, Kent wasn't a 2B, he was a body that occupied the space that normally a 2B is found in. Defensively, he played like a 1B or 3B which then makes his "power" average at best. At least Dunn plays a position that hacks can be found in all the time (corner OF). Normally, you don't see a hack like Kent play a position like 2B for a long period of time unless he's selfish and refuses to switch to a more natural position to benefit the team.
And no, I've never shared a clubhouse with either, but I read and hear comments of former Kent teammates. And the guys who will go on record will often say, "well, he was an intense competitor" which reads as, "he was a dick, but at least he liked to win;" and the guys who won't go on the record publicly all said, "he was a dick" and that winning seemed to be ancillary to Kent. Whereas with Dunn, the only thing I've heard is that he's lazy or complacent and even that has since been rescinded.
