So, what's wrong with that? It shows me that man has greast taste.  :)

:P forgot we have that other kind here :P

Teixeira was last reported entering hammondsnats house so that means he's bound for baltimore. Sorry to burst your bubble guys but we're not getting him.

Hell yea, if Teixeira were to be here tonight wed introduce him to booze and what happened this past season. I'd try to keep his interest in DC though so dont worry.

When will Tex make up his mind? I'm sick of worrying about this. Just get the disappointment over with already.

I honestly think something will get done by next weekend. My understanding is that Tex wanted a deal done before Christmas. I would guess that he doesn't want alot of distractions during Christmas week. Look for things to start picking up again tomorrow.

I'm on the fence about ditching Tex completely and going after Dunn and some other guys.

cause I getting the "we're being played" feeling again.

The fact that we could get Dunn, Penny, and Hudson is the reason I've leaned that way all along. That's an INSTANT upgrade.

Olney gets shat upon in 3 . . . 2. . . 1

Eh. Buster Olney really shouldn't be a sports journalist. The world isn't a perfect place. One day he might learn that.

He's right, what are we thinking trying to compete. Obviously we should do our best to help competitive teams win a world series. Maybe we should just go the extra mile and trade Zimmerman to the Angles for a high A baller and Lannan to the Yankees for cash consideration.

But what in the heck are the Nationals doing in this poker game? What in the heck are the Orioles doing in this conversation?

They should not be bidding. They should call Scott Boras, the agent for Teixeira, three minutes ago and tell him -- like someone who accidentally raises his hand at an auction -- Look, sorry for the misunderstanding, but we made a mistake. We really didn't mean to make that $160 million offer.

:? Yep, Buster Olney does not hate the Nationals.

Penny spent much of last season on the DL with right shoulder tendonitis. Reports are that his velocity was down by over 10 MPH and he couldn't even work out of the bullpen. Kind of reminds me of the Chief.

You mean like Chad his tendonitis is really some sort of tear? Because otherwise he should take Aleve and suck it up.

So...  we should wait until we are borderline contenders 3 years from now in order to pursue a once-in-a-decade type FA slugger, is that right?  No wonder they call you "buster."

What a freaking retard.

The Dodgers had a club option for $9.5M on Penny and decided to pay him $2M to get lost. If the Dodgers didn't need starting pitching I wouldn't be so skeptical.
