For most it's actually becoming, I don't care if I get the gift as long as they made a token effort to buy it. Or, as long as I made a play for the chick it counts the same as banging her even though she went home with that other dude.   :?

Or, they went to the store, but they were all out of Teixeiras. I hate when that happens.

By the way, they think that we're still being mentioned by the media because there is a pro-Nationals bias.

Yeah, cause ESPN really loves us so much.

BTW, I hate those scumbags in Boston just a little bit more. They just played some clips on ESPN news from sports radio in Boston. They were ragging on us pretty hard. They were making fun of our televison ratings and saying that Tex would disappear if he came here. They are so damned cocky. I hope for nothing but the worst for that franchise.

i hate self-righteous bastards who carry such a sense of entitlement. just because they are the Red Sox and we are the Nationals means that we aren't allowed to ever acquire any good players.

freak them. and freak the Yankees fans too, because they are the exact same way.

There are four teams in the MLB: the Red Sox, the Yankees, Scott Boras and Everyone Else.

Maybe "Everyone Else" should be renamed "Flyover Country"?

Not sure if you are in on the joke or not. The thing is, if Kearns has a badass ST, and we can't trade him April 1, then Dukes very well may be in Syracuse. It's a numbers game. This is not to steam AZ, this is serious. We have a boatload of outfielders, and we hold on to all of them if Dukes goes to AAA.
I was just trying to get AZ all riled up.

I see almost no way Dukes would be sent to Syracuse.  Either he gets hurt or he's on the ML roster.

Even if Milledge, Willingham, and Kearns all light it up in ST, why the hell would Dukes be anything less than a 4th OF?  I don't see it.

spider, you probably have to click "Windows Mediaplayer" under where it says "Choose Your Player."  That's the only way I could get it to work.

What are they saying?

the first significant tidbit I've heard is that we raised our bid from 8/160.

how much is unknown, but they said we definitely raised.

Admit it: You'd laugh at crapbag teams like the Nats too if your franchise were as good as Boston's.

Speaking as a fan of the San Antonio Spurs, I feel sorry for the Memphis Grizzlies and kinda want to help them out. But on the other hand, as a fan of the Indianapolis Colts, I ROFL @ the Detroit Lions.

Detroit's been inept for a million years -- their misery is of their own doing -the Nats have been in existence for about 10 minutes -- it's ridiculous to continue to ridicule what is for all intents and purposes an expansion team -- because we were raped and pillaged by MLB - and how exactly are we suppose to get relevant and competitive if anytime we want to get better we're met with scorn and derision -- the redsox didn't win a world series for nearly 100 years, same with the stinkin chi cubs -- I guarantee they Nats won't take 1 nth that long to win a title -- and both the cubs and the sox sucked for a long time - so who the hell are they to look down their noses at us -- and last I checked the Lowly RAYS went further than they did last year -- so basically -- boston fans and their ilk can suck it
