Most of the sound for Guz when he came to the plate was the sound of people saying his name. None of our players has been mercilessly booed when they come to the plate the way you get in other cities. We've never heard anything like it. WMP probably got the worst we have seen.
Wrong. I know the difference between people being booed and people saying Guzzzz. In fact, it was discussed in our section. I remember telling some of the people sitting around me that although I wouldn't boo I understood why people did (I wound up going back on that and booed Wil Cordero). Also, my nephew used to go to most games with me and the first jersey he got when the NAts came here was Guzman's. The people in our section were killing him for wearing the jersey of the one that was being booed. He used to take a lot of heat for that.
Speaking of no one being booed, did you forget how badly Wil Cordero got booed at RFK? People were giving him the finger when walking back to the dugout after K's.
