I was at tonight's debacle, sitting in the outfield (pretty much behind Milledge), and from that vantage point, Dukes appears to REALLY be hurting. There were several times during breaks in the "action" that he'd limp over to talk to Milledge, and it hurt me to watch him.
Something else we noticed that was amusing -- when Bergmann came on to pitch, the outfielders practiced fielding slow rollers instead of catching balls while he warmed up. Thought that was very appropriate, especially given that the first batter he faced smacked a base hit to left field for Bernadina to field
, and speaks volumes of their confidence in his pitching!
