We're about to be tied again in the WNFF World Series 5-5-0.  Every starting pitcher you picked up when you dumped your relievers was someone I wanted to pickup next week!

I think this is the first time I caught up. Every time I've checked you were leading the series.

It was time to concede the save category. I didn't have the players to catch up.

Last couple weeks my offense had probably the best performance of the season, this week one of the worst.

It's definitely interesting and likely will come down the wire.

Just got in, nothing-nothing with one hit each in 4+ innings?

0-2 count, Two outs with a chance to get out of the inning unscathed... An Error and 2-run HR follow resulting in 3 runs and the end of the game.

We badly need a new pitching coach. Our pitchers just do not know how to finish innings off strong. It's a major problem and has been for a long while in D.C.

Nissan pitch track?
Wasn't it the Northrup Grumman pitch track last night.

Why can't it be the Hooters pitch track?

John Lannan gets his 3rd K.  Despite giving up a homer, NO earned runs charged to him, due to the error. 8) (thom202 is groaning.)  He's had the lead at times, and we've been tied before.  You can go nuts following the fantasy box score during games.

Nationals 0
PADRES 3

No kidding. I'd rather have him pitch a shutout and hurt my fantasy team but if we have to give up runs, let them be earned. ;)

Bonifacio is on my crap list.

Look no further than to these first 2 games against the Padres as to why a player like Adam Dunn isn't as valuable as people think.

HITS win ballgames, not walks. Walks are nice but you can't win games just by walking. I prefer guys with high BAs as opposed to bums that can't hit .230.

or it could be our hitting coach. Weve won a few times on walk-off walks!

Good to see we're getting closer to Strasburg. I really thought we were trying to lose him there for a couple weeks.

That's the whole point. Our intentional tanking is not even going to work. Seattle will end up with the #1 pick, no doubt. We are getting the #2 pick. These embarrassing losses are pointless.

Can this team do anything but pop the ball straight up in the air?

Seattle had a 7-4 lead today and LOST the game.
So we need to lose to stay 0.5 game behind.
We need to lose tomorrow too, to take San Diego out of the sweepstakes.

Strasburg is the ONLY college player who made the Olympic baseball team; the rest were minor leaguers or 2nd rate MLB players.

Did the opposing pitcher just hit a HR?  :?

Unbelievable. This team has no heart. We are just as bad as the Mariners.

Our defense is awful and our pitchers consistently roll over after getting 2 outs in an inning. Same old story.

The entire coaching staff deserves to be fired after the season.

We win a tie with Seattle for most losses.
We need to lose this game.
Strasburg has a cool autograph:

Nationals 0
PADRES 4

Bob Carpenter sounds like he's getting a cold.

Down by 4 in the 7th inning and we get a runner caught off first. Unbelievable.

Bernadina strikes out looking.

Good job Manny. Hope you are satisfied.

No, with the way his team is playing. Have you been watching lately? I've never seen so many little-league, amateur mistakes in my life.

This represents the Nationals.

This represents those of us who are still watching this freaking team because this is exactly what they're doing to their fans.

And that's what I'm talking about.

Another horrific blunder that's happened way too often lately.  Willie needs glasses or something because that's happened to him several times over the last few games.

What do you propose Acta do? he can't physically go out there and MAKE Nieves stay on 1B.

Why is it that Willie Harris seems to be the only one constantly losing the ball in the lights?

Willie needs glasses or he should just wear sunglasses to block out the light.

Acta's laid-back attitude rubs off on the team. He doesn't care about winning and thus they don't either. Acta is better suited to manage minor league players where development trumps winning ball games.

If I never see Charlie Manning pitch again, it will be too soon.
