Lastings is challenged in center but he's going to be our CF for the foreseeable future and i need to accept that and realize he's going to improve. he's got the tools.

i just hate to see Dukes instincts and abilities wasting away in right while Lastings struggles in center.

I think Rights more important though, his arm in that position is key. Further away from 3rd - Home where the threatening hits hurt but his arm can cut it off for the future

It's going to be really embarrassing when the last place Padres come in to town and sweep us or take 2 of 3.

hey Manny: Montz could've done that instead of Bernadina being outmatched.

Still no excuse. We'll only have to score 2 or 3 runs to win every game because their offense is so bad.

Nice ABs by Nieves and Montz.

We'll look back at this and smile, when we get the #1 pick and a stud pitcher, who leads us to the World Series, while San Diego did nothing about their inability to hit.

Maybe so. But there are a few other studs in the draft too. Grant Green and Zim could be the best SS-3B combo in the league for years to come. It won't be the worst thing in the world if we end up with the second pick. That guarantees us one of those two players.

Nice swing by Hernandez.

Wow, the Mets are pathetic. They are using their best reliever in a 7-1 blowout.

Nieves is a stud back-up catcher. I can't believe how well he has hit this season. A lot of people thought he would fizzle out but he hasn't.

David Wright finishes the series 1/18 with 7 Ks. And that was against sorry Nationals pitching too.

We have seen what Nieves and Harris can do. They have nothing more to prove. We really need to get a look at Bernadina and Montz everyday. They should both start from here on out.

Which will only contribute in the race for Strasburg.

Probably. I think Bernadina would really impress if he got regular ABs. Dude hit .350 in AAA. Let him get into a rhythm and play everyday.

the Mets announcer just brought up a good point...why would you take out Lastings/Elijah if you are hoping to comeback? anything can happen vs the Mets putrid bullpen and Dukes has destroyed their pen with 2 mammoth shots.

Holy crap, the Mets' pen is awful. They'll go nowhere in the playoffs if they make it.

We have WAY too many LH batters. Far too many times we have a LH batter up against LH pitchers in crucial situations.
