Wow.  What a wonderful win!

Like the over-emotional nutjob of a fan that I am, I suddenly think that we have a decent team.

Tonight was just a very happy and satisfying win.  The offense was spectacular!

I feel like joining Jimbo for a brewski.

Incidentally, Esteban Loaiza is pitching for the A's tonight against Chris Shelton and the Tigers.  Esteban's having an awful start to the year, with both righties AND lefties hitting over .400 against him.  I hope he can pull it together, since I've always liked him, but I have the creeping suspicion that Shelton will be PWNing him tonight.

Hey, I think A CERTAIN SOMEBODY ON THIS BOARD can put his red Nats hat back on now...

...although perhaps that might be a bad idea, given how we seem to be rolling right now.

Man I so felt that Granny coming, I just KNEW it was gonna happen!!!

w/e, you KNOW if he would've striked out you would've been like "good for nothing church", but still that was great. I really feel that this team is much better offensively than last years, last year we didn't get our first (and only) Grand Slam until August. THis year our first comes in April which gives us a chance to hit some more.

Please, Nats of the Living Dead, just keep your hat off until after the Braves Series. If we sweep the phils and braves, then NEVER wear it again and stick to your blue one. But of course, if we lose the next two games and get swept by the braves you can wear it again. alright

I feel guilty about this...but was anyone else as ecstatic as I was when Brian Schneider got hit by that pitch, I celebrated like he had just hit a grand slam because I knew in my heart that that was the only way Schneider could ever drive in a run with the bases loaded and 2 outs...the fact that they are walking CLAYTON of all people to get to him should tell him how poorly he is doing offensively

The question is can Church keep mashing the ball?  His BA really isn't that good (though it's certainly better than Watson's) but as long as he keeps getting those huge clutch hits, nobody's going to care what his BA is.
