Any chance we make a move for Hiura? Don't really have a place to start him but a 115 wRC+ (what he posted last year) would make him one of the better hitters on this team.

Edit: I'm also seeing Hiura has reverse platoon splits. Hits righties better than lefties so might not be the best option for the Phillies to platoon with Hall.

Smith might be able to use a partner. Baseball-wise, Chavis should be the 26th man, but I suspect it will be M Adams. Maybe R. Adams serves the RH platoon role.  I don't mind a backup C like Adams playing in the field because he can be moved to C if Ruiz needs to come out.

I expect Rendon to have a monster year. Not just a nice year but a monster year. The dude is healthy finally, and even his 2020 was up to his standards. I think folks forget just how good Rendon was. His stats and projections justified that contract, just his meds probably did not. LAA blew it on reviewing his health records.  Still, a healthy Rendon is up there with Turner among the top all around players. Ohtani-Trout-Rendon is almost like having Turner-Rendon-Soto, with Scherzer or a healthy Stras pitching.

I just realized their entire rotation is Showtime as a righty, followed by 5 lefties. It might just work.

I’m gonna go with the Padres finally cashing it in and defeating the Guardians in the World Series. I’m really unsure about who comes out of the AL this season, but if they can keep their pitching healthy, San Diego looks really tough to me in the NL.
