‘Baby shark’ stuffed animal??
« Topic Start: October 15, 2019, 11:15:26 AM »
Anyone catch the little shark stuffed animal hanging in the dugout during Game 3? My son and I just ordered our very own ‘baby shark’ plush just like the Nationals’ one for his little-league team’s dugout... team is very excited lol.

Anyone have any intel on the story behind this little guy?? How it ended up in a big league dugout?

The maker of the baby shark sent Parra a box of them with a good luck note.  So he took one of them and now has it hanging in the dugout.  I love it.

His name is Gerry. It's the team's lucky charm. It will bring the team luck until a foul line drive kills it in game 5 of the world series. Finding Gerry coming to a theater near you in 2020.

Baby Shark is actually a public domain song, so there are tons of cheap plush sharks out there now if you don't want to pay for the official licensed one.

With the money everyone is throwing around right now on tickets, $30 is a trivial rounding error.  Get on board the hyperinflation express!

Yes, but why is there a stuffed baby shark hanging from the dugout? Does it belong to Parra’s daughter? Parra’s Instagram story from before the game would seem to provide the answer. It featured a video of a box of baby sharks of various colors and a handwritten note addressed to “Gerardo + the Nationals.”

“Congrats on winning the NLDS and advancing to the NLCS!” the note began. “A little fishy told us that the Baby Shark song has brought you and the team good luck, + wanted to send a little extra luck for this next series! Hope the team enjoys these singing puppets on and off the field!

GOOD LUCK!

I have one of those Zimbabwe $100 trillion bills upstairs. Bought it on eBay from a guy in Harare.

I like how his second post states that he "found another" that sells it for $10 cheaper, but it's the exact same Ebay link with a price change.
