Didn’t see the last two games because of a commitment.
So Martinez left Cole in the game for “10 runs” before pulling him then risks Eaton’s health leaving him in the game during a blowout???....... it’s little decisions like that that’ll  get the players thinking their manager is incompetent. Oh boy.  :icon_frown:

Go Nationals!
So Eaton can only get hurt during blowouts?

Happy he left Cole in; preserve the pen.  It was meaningless to the game's outcome.

Didn’t see it I’ll take your word for it.
That being said, Eaton was still hobbling on his leg a bit two days ago and should be removed and rested in blowout games especially if “it was meaningless to the games outcome” as you say..
I don’t like pie thrower AJ Cole even a little bit yet, even I wouldn’t leave him in a game for “10 runs” to embarrass himself, the club,  and destroy what little confidence he might still have.
“Save the pen”????... Grace?....Romero?....Solis? ...... Gott? .... run those bums out there for a couple innings. Each and every one of those nags still haven’t figured themselves out yet and it was likely a good spot to get them some work.

Let’s go Nationals!!!

If Eaton is hobbling that much he shouldn't be playing at all. Just as much risk getting hurt in any game as yesterday's blow out.
