The Nats All-time 25 man
« Topic Start: October 25, 2018, 07:38:33 PM »
I know there's another thread on this somewhere, but I can't find it:

here's another stab at the all-time 25 man

Not sure I agree with Johnson over Zimm at first, which would put Rendon at 3rd.

Why would anyone care about the Nets? ;)

Did you know that the Nets and Nats have both won the exact same number of championships in the last 10 years?

Because they had Dr. J?

Good to see Thornton get a nod. No surprise at all seeing Clippard and Stammen in the bullpen.

I matched 18 of the 25, with one big miss on my part. But I used the criteria of best season rather than over multiple seasons. So I had Soriano and Soto in the outfield instead of Willingham and Morse. I also had Patterson's best season as better than Roark's best. In the pen I had Ayala, Capp, and Maj over Burnett, Thornton, and Stammen, although I'd agree on Stammen over Maj. The only other disagreement I had was I had RZ at 3 with NJ coming off the bench and Rendon starting.

Desmond and Murphy is a terrible middle infield defensively.  Can we move Murphy to first, Rendon to SS, and Trea to 2nd?

Morse should be all 25 positions

Errrrr...why not put Turner at SS and Rendon at 2B, positions they actually each have played for a full season in the majors?

Zimm's IN, no matter where you have to put him.

Also, gotta go with Desmond over the skinny little NC State guy, for now.
