It's one thing to do that against the Phillies' aces and another to get owned like this against Collmenter and Saunders.
But we knocked around the Phillies' aces.  That's what's so frustrating about this team!

Why is Putz wearing long sleeves?

He could be out there with a fur coat on because there's no chance he builds a sweat facing this turdish lineup.

Do the Lerners actually know this is bad baseball?  Do they know that this isn't the way a team should be built?  Maybe it's ignorance and not cheapness???

It's a good thing I have nothing better in life to do on a Saturday night than watch this crapshow.

Doubtful that they'd make any moves in the middle of west coast trip with no off days.  Depending on how things go for the next eight games, I'd hope for some moves a week from Monday.

it's a combination of the two.  there's no doubt they're cheap but it requires pure ignorance to have Rizzo as the GM.

It's outright cheapness. They don't give a crap as long as they keep raking in the money.

Why does your weekend start on a Saturday? And not Friday like a normal person?

This reminds me so much of the Caps in the 80s on a power play.   I can remember sitting in our STH spot and yelling, "Shoot the damn puck !!"

It hasn't changed - Caps are still making back-up goalkeepers look like Vezina candidates (see Halak in the 2010 playoff series against Montreal, among other things - no change in perimeter-orientated offence).

Caps make bad goalkeepers look good...Nats make struggling pitchers look good...and so it continues.

---

Not a good night for the local sides generally - Mystics lost their season opener at Connecticut 89-73 (Alana Beard out with injury, but teams generally lose anyway when they allow their opponent to hit 57% from the floor including 8-for-16 three-pointers).
