CAIRO

Lovely city.

But no really, the first CAIRO projections were released. Here are the projections for the Nats:

Wins: 72.4
Losses: 89.6
Div: 3.2%
WC: 2.0%
RS: 659
RA: 733
W +/-: They say 13.4, I'm pretty sure it's 3.4 though (we won 69 games last year)
RS +/-: -51 (fewer)
RA +/-: -141 (fewer given up, so good)

Discuss.

Not to be a boob, but I don't understand why they bother doing projections this early. The Nats roster should be far from complete.

I do agree with the projection if this were to be our opening day roster.

We improved!!

I'd still like to see what CAIRO thinks when we add a 1B and SP, though. Probably 77 wins.

Yessireee ... I'm out of touch.    When I first started reading, I thought it was a thread about Egypt and the temperature in Cairo was 72.4 degrees.    I gotta get my eyes checked.

Oh yeah, I forgot to post the link... in it, the guy repeatedly says that these are too early to be taken seriously.

Wait... did anyone else think this thread meant we somehow traded for Miguel Cairo? Or was it just me?

I thought exactly the same thing when I saw the thread title. Exactly. And honestly, I was disappointed when I saw we didn't trade for him. Cheap, hit .290 off the bench last year.

I thought that also but then I thought maybe Wee Willy was coming back since he is from Cairo, Ga.

"Night Boat to Cairo!"

I thought that as well.
