This was no big surprise because Brewers GM Doug Melvin said a couple of days ago that Jeffess would be promoted soon. After returning from a 100-game suspension for testing positive for marijuana use for a third time, Jeffress was assigned to Wisconsin to ease him back into action.

Jeffress, 22, was placed on the Brewers' 40-man roster two days earlier, which would prevent any further suspensions for marijuana use but subject him to mandated programs by MLB.

1) This is their first round pick from '06.

2) You can't be suspended if you are on the 40 man for smoking pot?

3) How is this so little publicized? Their 1st round pick almost went "up in smoke."
