God, how nice to see something positive written about our Nats.  Thanks Aaron!

I like the part where Rizzo brought Dunn in for his defense.

I think Aaron's still on blood thinners. Probably affect the flow of oxygen to the old brain.

Well...his defense has been better than originally predicted  - and Boone's writing for people who haven't actually seen the Nats so I think of it as poetic license ;-)

Good article. It's surprising to see ESPN even mention the Nats' existence, considering how they usually only talk about the Yanks and Sawks.

That sounds like a long sentence with two clauses turned into a short sentence with one.

Although, Dunn is not nearly the defensive deficit I thought he would be. On that DP catch/pick from Zimmerman the other night, it was clear he knew right where he was supposed to be.

He's doing a great job in stretching for errant throws, keeping that foot on the bag, or coming off and tagging the runner.  Seems MUCH more comfortable with where to be.  Even the pickoff throw he dropped yesterday, he had stepped towards the pitcher to both shorten the throw and be in position to throw out Francoeur, who had been picked off and was running to second.  Dunn dropped the throw, but was in the right position.

With Dunn, the positive defensively is shifting him from LF to 1B. If he's going to be in the lineup, that is the best defensive position for him.  If the Nats confronted him and said, "Adam, you are not an outfielder," then that is a move to improve the defense. As it is, he's performed at close to Nick J's level from last year.
