Looks like this game is free on MLB.TV out of market.

I'll be wearing a Polo jacket myself - mainly since I'll be outside for a good bit today, with DC United's home opener following straight on from today's Nats exhibition.

Yahoo! Weather is still calling for it to top off at 76 this afternoon (http://weather.yahoo.com/united-states/district-of-columbia/washington-12765840/) with current cloudy conditions becoming just partly cloudy...will be getting into the 50's tonight though.

I'm not following closely, but isn't it the Revs tonight?  Quite a Boston weekend - Sox, Revs, the Bs.  Just a guess - Washington takes 2 of 3.

Well guys I got up to the loft around 3:45 and met JCA and BEN.     I came up again after Teddy but ran into too many Sox fans so I headed back to my seat.  I was three rows behind Math Guy and 2ipas but it was too loud to yell and in 143 I was too close to the end of the row to climb over people.  Oh well.

In 143, I was close to the end where there IA the fence.   With this knee of mine I didn't want to climb over seats to say hi.  :<(

Great to meet the GR8T one, Ben, and a few of the others (Hendo, John in Minneapolis, Natsfan1a, Wigi, 222, others) from the Natmosphere.  I had a wonderful rant about Taveras, who I think will be my rant object for a few weeks (I hope only  days).  The Youk and Nats hat combo worked for visibility.

I'll check the game thread, but I liked how Stammen settled down in the 2d.  He stopped giving up balls in the air.  I'm also in awe of Adrian Beltre making Stammen look like he had swing and miss stuff.  Dunn looked good at first, too.

Meanwhile, we may need to start a "WTF RF"  thread after a few of Willie's plays.  I'll write those off to learning that corner. he's always been in CF and RF, so I imagine RF has some getting used to.

It was the Revs all right - United hung with them pretty well most of the way but allowed a couple of quick goals in the late going and lost 2-nil (they haven't scored in their first two regular season matches).

Stayed at the Nats match till the seventh-inning stretch - concessions in the 300's were somewhat dire (there is a bar serving Stella and Bass behind roughly 303 - along with a couple of other locations that serve Peroni this was the only place serving import beer; bought a Stela before the match but when I went back there in the 4th inning the queue was 25 deep and moving at a snail's pace) - but the sightlines from The Best Seat In The House were as good as ever. Terrific weather too.

Yesterday, was pretty much a PERFECT day. I want to brunch with my family then to the game with my brother. What a beautiful day, had a great time. Didn't get there until right before the game started and it was packed, so I missed the meet and greet, hope you guys had fun. Hopefully we can do at again sometime.

I know its hard to meet everyone if you have multiple groups of friends at any one event.   I was feeling that yesterday.

Its hard to locate people you have never met before when youre seated in different locations and such.

Maybe what we should do is either organize a single game get tickets and sit together.   Hope you don't mind Screamers like me.  :)

The stray comment I heard (not from 1a) was that this forum seems to be just a bunch of conversations. What I said was that that mostly had to do with there being very little to say / analyze during the spring - no one attaches too much meaning to the stats, and the games are harder to follow.  I think we had a tendency just to pile everything into one or two threads like the spring training thread, making it harder to track topics.  That's likely to change now that the season is starting.

Who is 1a?

A regular poster on several Nats message boards, including NJ and Ben's.  Polite but a die-hard Nats fan and baseball follower.  Likes good baseball writing.  A SABR member, but more for the writing side than the metrics.

Some people are bound not to like it here for one reason or another, and of course that's up to them, but I think we're pretty welcoming of new folks.

Yep!  I'm surprised you didn't hear me yesterday.
