The kid throws hard, but doesn't seem to have a lot of movement on his fast ball.  Can you coach/teach movement on a fastball?

Most of the movement comes naturally w/ the pitcher's body movement, arm slot, and release point going towards the plate. You can tweak it, but it's better to do that in the offseason. Coaches usually hope that the pitcher will just learn how to do the most w/ what got them to the pro level in the first place.

Hanrahan's main problem is his accuracy. It could be a confidence thing, or maybe he just has a problem hitting certain parts of the strike zone. I hope he can fix it because he's got good stuff.

Hanrahan's control has actually improved since moving to the pen and has been improving as the season progresses.

his formula for failure seems to be a walk, maybe throw in a wild pitch, then a poke to RF. then he'll strike out the next three guys. just need to reverse that order of operations.

How about a longer warmup to eliminate those first 7 pitches or so?

What about some good old-fashioned pine tar?
