Idiots. I think the fragile attitude of feeling "shown up" is pathetic and weak.

Belliard Pimp Walk down the Liine, or Guillen Bat-flip?

BELLIARD PIMP WALK BY FAR.

BELLY'S SWAGGER STRUT > ANY HOME RUN REACTION EVER.

orioles fans are bitter about Belly's swagger strut? they just can't handle the pimp juice!

so...what I am reading is that Belliard felt insulted that Sherrill was pitching around Dmitri to get to him. and that was the motivation for the Pimp Walk down the line.

No one pitched around Dmitri. Why let the go-ahead run get to the plate for free?

Belliard reacted that way b/c he thinks he's a badass for some reason. That thinking has hurt his career more than anything.

Yeah, no one pitched around Young. Belliard knew that was gone when he hit it, and he always has that reaction. There's nothing wrong with it. He didn't show up anyone.

Just got back from the game.  I was surrounded by Orioles fans and thought that we lost it after giving up the run in the 12th.  The home run by Belliard was surreal, I could not believe it happened at first, by his reaction I almost thought that he just popped it up.  Once I got a lock on where the ball was going, though, it was the greatest feeling.  Great first time to the park for me, beautiful stadium.

Belliard reacted that way b/c he thinks knows he's a badass pimp for some valid reason. That thinking has hurt helped his career more than anything.

fixed.  ;) :pimp:

There were some O's  fans in my section, and one in particular who was at the top of the section doing the Wizard of Oz O's chant near the game. He was all geared for the final out, cheering and then Belliard crushed that ball. The same clown who was being so vocal after the O's pulled ahead had only one thing to say as the ball sailed into the air: "No WAY!" It was beautiful. The inability of the O's to put the Nats weak lineup away early was pretty pathetic. Glad to see putting in two major leaguers back to back ended it all.

(Regarding out of town fans, it seems that there are some sections that people experience being outnumbered. It seems like the RF upper deck usually fills with them. And while they seem to get some cheering going, it can barely be heard from the lower bowl. At RFK, 10 drunks in the upper deck could sound like a huge crowd. It sounds like very little at the new park.)

Maybe I missed it, but I don't think the 7:00 version of Baseball Tonight covered the game at all, except Belliard's homer in touch em all, and Aubrey Huff made WebGems.  I know it's been said several times, but freak ESPN.

Casto's play wasn't in the web gems??! His play was much better and more significant than Huff's.

One thing that was disappointing to see was the number of Nationals fans that left around the 8th and 9th inning.  It seemed from what I could see that the number of Orioles fans at the end of the game far outweighed the number of Nationals fans.

It looked like he was safe. Maybe a replay showed him out but I thought he was safe.

It certainly didn't feel that way at the end of the game. :) Unfortunately, so many people are slaves to traffic, and they simply leave every game regardless.
