Game Preview Thread
« on: August 30, 2008, 02:41:28 pm »
I've always wanted there to be a place where we can talk about upcoming games and series (like lineups, hot/cold players, matchups, etc.). Instead of waiting for the GD thread to be started (or going off topic in other threads), we could use this 24/7. I figure we can try it out for the last month of the season.

Jo-Jo Reyes, who we're facing tonight, is only getting 3.1 runs of support (is that how you say it?) this season. They have one of those guys, too.

I like this idea but it'd be better if the game thread were made like the morning of the game. Would save space. I remember when 2k6nats was doing the game threads really early but now he stopped doing them altogether.

I agree that it'd be better if the GD Threads were made in the morning, but that doesn't seem like something someone would want to do everyday.

I'd do it but I normally don't get up until 11-12.

I could do the game threads for the next day before I go to bed at like 1-2 AM.

That'd be cool. I just don't like being on here and wanting to talk about future games or the status of the team, and only having old GD and other unrelated threads to go to. I don't want to start a new thread every time I want to talk about that kind of stuff.

I think it'll make the board more active..in a good way.

I completely agree with you. I like when game threads are made early so you can post about that game and any info regarding that game/series in it.

Maybe this can be the safety/backup thread.

Bergmann needs to have one of those lights out games he likes to have every 20 or so outings.

Sure. Or if you don't see a thread made by like 1-2 AM, just go ahead and make one because like I said I don't get up until 11-12.

I just made the thread for tonight.

I predict a major rocking by Bergmann tonight-- he rocks the Braves. They don't rock him.

Sadly, it seems I have no say with our Lord and Father.

I have no problem with this idea, it sounds good.

One possible idea is a sticky in the GD forum, but I guess that would get kinda large, so maybe just posting the game threads early is the best idea.
