2014 - 23rd April (23rd match)
2025 - 25th April (26th match)

2024 - 27th April (26th match)
2019 - 28th April (26th match)
2010 - 28th April (22nd match)
2005 - 29th April (23rd match)
2011 - 29th April (25th match)
2018 - 29th April (28th match)
2008 - 1st May (29th match)

A triple play is my baseball white whale. In my decades-long career as a baseball game attender, I have attended the NL Wildcard Game, the ALDS, the NLDS, the ALCS, the NLCS, the World Series, the All-Star Game, a perfect game (Mark Buehrle 2009), and a no-hitter (Jordan Zimmermann 2014). I have seen tremendous home runs, I have seen epic squeeze bunts, I have seen a guy tear his ACL on a strike 3 swing and a miss, I have seen some amazing catches and some of the most brutal errors. But I have never seen a triple play in person.

There's no plausible scenario in which I would have attended this game. I hope to see one in person one day, though. Preferably unassisted but I'd settle for any kind of triple play. I'm not greedy.

I went to the Mets and Nats game years ago when Angel Pagan started a triple play and also had an inside the park homer.  Believe it’s only happened one other time in history.
