To me that is somewhat justifiable. We have a unanimous member and he’s a reliever, so the whole no one has been unanimous is dead and the one guy who got it is a reliever, so not exactly sacrosanct

No. I consider myself a big hall guy so basically any player with over 10,000 PA should go into the hall.

Baumann describes Rollins as his favorite player but a Hall of the Very Good guy who should have his number retired by the Phillies but not a HoF entry. It's also Baumann so it's worth reading because he's Baumann.

I also tend to be big Hall, and I think Rollins has a case along with Pedroia. I think any multi-time all star with an MVP award and a leader of a multi-year contender gets into the conversation. There was a weird xitter post floating around about Pedroia where he's one of two guys who were RotY, MVP, 4 golden gloves, and 2 World Series. The only real reason Pedroia has a problem is his career was cut short on a dirty slide by the A-hole Os/Padre. My solution is they should go in as a package. If you vote for Machado, then you better vote Pedroia. Actually, I'd say Pedroia before the A-hole.

In other words, lower AAV than Nelson Cruz when we brought him in. Of course, several years rather than 1, so it better have been a judgment that he will not be able to start by 2027 and the last 3 years of his contract.
