the thing is, they played so poorly that night, bad defense etc... I almost don't regret walking out. They kind of deserved it.

It was funny in the metro going home because of course everyone tracked the game as it was finishing. Everyone laughed at each other for walking out.

Chappy chips in an insurance run with Young breaking from 3rd on contact.

They should give Finnegan an inning here. Shaky if he has to come in with runners on since he hasn't pitched much lately.

Good  :w: , good job Corbin!

On another note, I feel sad for Marlins' fans. Miami is a nice city IMO, it deserves a better Marlins ownership group. (So do we, but I guess that's a topic for another thread :p )

At least they don't have Jeffrey Loria anymore. I'm glad Loria still didn't own the Expos when they moved to Washington.

true, but he did out-homer Judge in the NYY series.

And remember that Goose Goslin hit more home runs than Babe Ruth in the showdown series at Yankee Stadium, end of August, 1924. In the deciding game, on Sunday, August 31, Sam Rice drove in two runs, Goslin went 2-for-3 and drove in a run, while Joe Judge homered in the 7th inning. The mighty Babe went 0-for-3.
