Yeah, but if you base it against his performance last year that so many have expressed was really bad, then a case could be make.  But I truly believe the award belongs to Dmitri and he is absolutely deserving of it!!!

Im not sure Berg really qualifies for Comeback player of the year. He didnt play in that many games. If it werent Dmitri my guess would be JJ Hardy would win it.

Bergmann is not "coming back" from anything, and even though he looked pretty decent during his appearances in 2005, he really isn't coming back TO anything either. If he plays from here on out the same way that he did before getting injured, he would be more like a breakout player of the year.

Precisely. To be a comeback player implies you've had above average success in the past. Nothing Bergmann has ever done qualifies as anything of the sort considering he has barely sniffed the Show. He's only stuck around long enough to have his cup of coffee refilled once or twice. It isn't until this year really that he has shown he may become a fixture in an MLB rotation.
