It's time for the annual thread on figuring out how to bypass the MLB TV blackout on Nats games.  In past years I have used SmartDNSProxy along with DNS IP addresses on my router that made MLB TV think I was in Germany.  I could consistently watch Nats games in Chrome on my PC, and usually (but not always for some reason) on Roku.  But it looks like MLB TV has gotten smarter, and I can't get anything to work this year.

Has anyone had any luck with a different VPN service like Nord?  If it's just no longer possible, what is the cheapest service I can get that has MASN?  My primary service is YouTubeTV, but they don't carry MASN.

Update - I was able to things working with NordVPN.  You just need to pick a server out of the area (I selected a server in New York)

That's a nice benefit, but it doesn't actually help for being able to watch Nats games if you live in the DC area, because of the local blackout on mlb.tv. 

I get free mlb.tv as a benefit of being a season ticket holder, but it only helps for watching nats games when I'm traveling away from home.  I do use if for watching out of market games, for listening to nats on the radio, and for watching nats when I'm away.  But I probably wouldn't pay for it if I didn't get it for free, given the blackouts.

I've never messed around with the VPN route, but hopefully if enough people do it, they'll just give up on blacking out local games.
