If they didn’t use Finnegan two thirds of the board would have been calling for Davey’s head.

I suppose that would be better than using him and the entire board calling for his head.  He won't miss it anyway...it's pretty clear that it's empty...

That one hurt and I’m pretty sure there will be many more like it before the end of the year. That said, I'm very excited about the possibility of Lipscomb being a big part of this club next year when I think we’ll be back in the mix for the playoffs and beyond. Not sure if Winker fits in with our future as a player or player mentor but he has shown great plate discipline so far and seems to fit that two hole very nicely. Small sample size but looking forward to our future and all the exciting possibilities.

Fair enough, although it's clear that Finnegan is now a veteran pitcher who is at best a 7th inning set-up man  on a contending team.
