I don't know how you trust a guy who throws 85 to pitch against the Dodgers offense.

I trust him more then most of the rest of this pen.
A bunch of professional Triple A guys

Harper has a lot more experience

You are correct there

And that is due to depleting the farm system to get the one World Series

We won’t se another for a long time

If the game were called after 6 and a half without the Nats having batted, wouldn't they revert to the score at the end of 6 (3-1)?  You can't let the Dodgers have an extra half inning to score vs the Nats.

Hate to say it -- Bob is definitely losing it.  Can't read the out of town scoreboard.  Doesn't know how many earned runs the Nats have.  A couple of games ago he didn't know that there was a pinch hitter at the plate.  Everyday it's something different.

Is it evil to hope that Rodriguez hits a Dodger in the knee with a fastball? Just to even things a little...

I cut out early on the 9 3 19 Mets game when we were going to be drubbed in a disgusting loss, so I am taking off now.

This game shows the weakness in relief pitching that has been part of this entire season

this is an odd game

Last thoughts on the game from me.  Roberts was incredibly aggressive in the blow up inning.  Davey sent Clay out against the bottom of the line up with a lot of lefties coming up.  Roberts figured he was going to use pinch hitters at some point, so better against Clay than Hudson.  He just about emptied his bench in the 7th.  3 pinch hitters, then when Voth came in, he pinch hit for a pinch hitter to get handedness matchups he wanted.  He used everyone except Will Smith the catcher.  HE ended up having to move Muncy to 2d and play Pujols in the field, which cost them a run, but the aggression certainly worked.  There were a few breaks in the mix, too, like the flare over the drawn in infield.  Sometimes the magic works.
