The BIG decision mistake of the night was letting Strasburg bat again - the AB where he struck out with runners on base.  Martinez did that same mistake in a game against the Barves.  We didn't need Strasburg to stay in the game longer, now that we have a few reliable relievers.

Brutal kick to the guts.  :icon_frown:
Don’t know how many more times this club can pick themselves up off the ground from this crap. Hard for me to point a finger at Doolittle when he has been severely overworked this year. He’s been pitching with a dead arm for the past few weeks now.
Sleep this one off and hope that Corbin brings his “A-game” tomorrow. Gotta have at least one of these three games.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDGE!!!

Let’s go Naaaaaaaaats!!!

We lost the battle on the field today.  Some of our big guys came through, some didn't.  Same with them, but the game ended with them ahead.

70% certainties don't pay off 30% of the time.  That ball was smoked.  AE had 0% chance...

It was a crushing loss of which we’ve had a few this year.  We will come back even if we get swept this weekend. :panic:

Mets were 0-44 in games in which they trailed going into the ninth before last night

I’ve watched it a few times. He had no chance. This is why I don’t pay much attention to defensive stats.

Has there ever been a longer post-mortem of a regular season game?

it's just dumb, even if he takes the perfect angle and gets the perfect jump he cannot catch it,
