I swear line out double plays happen disproportionately in end game situations.

As hard as that ball was hit I dont know if he was 2 steps closer it would have mattered.

True.   But he does have to be in position to get to third on a ground ball or stay ahead of Taylor on a double.   A tiny bit of blame for being a little too far off I guess.

Big loss. Lost a Scherzer start (have to win 95% of these from here out), lost any momentum, now have to win the next 2 to have a shot. Closer to 10 games out that 1st.

If Herrera is injured, Nats would be down 4 solid/elite relievers from the pen of a few weeks ago including the trades of Kintzler and Kelley.

Barves need a new broadcast team. This Joe Simpson is a freaking moron. First drew the ire of the Dodgers last month and now questioning the age of Soto. Not our fault that he's better than Acuna.
