Ok, put this in perspective for me. Relate it in tangible numbers to Sori and our worst KKings.
Soriano's worst year for Ks was actually last year, when he struck out 160 times. Pat Burrell who gets booed mercilessly by the Phillies fans for striking out too much has had 162 and 160 strike-out seasons as his worst.
ALL of Dunn's full seasons have been above 160 Ks. The previous record of 189 was set by Bobby Bonds in 1970. Dunn surpassed that with 195 in 2004. Then he K'd 194 two years later. He has 60 so far this year in 42 games. Lopez, who is having a horrible time this year with Ks has 36 with 26 more at bats. If Dunn plays his normal 160 games, he is on pace for 228.
In a very dark, humorous way, it is actually quite impressive.
