6 runs a game gets them to 850. 9, with one game of 10, gets them to 900.
How many per game for 1000?
Huh? what I said was if you think it’s too early to think this offense is going to be a monster then it’s too early to think the bullpen needs to be blown up. You can’t say it’s a small sample for one and not the other. And that’s absolutely true. Both assertions actually proved to be correct. Nowhere in that quote did I say the bullpen didn’t suck, (although I wasn’t as down on it as some folks early on) I was commenting on folks who always think good performance is fleeting and bad performance is permanent.
What you're leaving out is that there's also a past track record to go on, so the sample size is not necessarily inclusive of this season alone. We've seen enough of the players in this offense to know that collectively, they weren't likely to be a once-in-a-generation offense. The likelihood of Ryan Zimmerman OPS'ing over 1.000 at this stage of his career was not very good, which is the type of thing that would've had to have happened for the team to maintain its early-season pace.
Good to see the offense now completely toothless right before the playoffs. #NatsBaseball
Zuck notes that the 2017 Nats are only the 2nd team in MLB history to have four players hit .300 or better, and hit at least 23 HRs. The only other team(s) were the 96 and 97 Rockies who played half their games in Coors.
830
First team with those numbers to get bounced in the NLDS?
