When Souza comes back Hairston gotta go. Big PH walk for the Taylor kid. Let him hang around for awhile. I bet the bucco backers were stunned. I'll be down there tomorrow with my broom! Go Nats, come on Mr. Fister! SWEEP!

Playing for the single is not a bad strategy.  Singles are more than twice as likely to occur as doubles are (one reason I hate the no doubles defense).  But he just seemed to move slowly, didn't read it well and never really did make a full effort to catch it at the moment he really needed to do that to save the game.

No question they played it by the book and my suggestion was tongue in cheek/hindsight given the fact that Espinosa was up next and giving Harper 3B was not such a big deal since Espinosa would likely strikeout.

Barves win. They're lucky they caught a struggling A's team at a good time.

To borrow Shirley Povich's comment about Walter Johnson in 1924: "The lovable Nats! How can you help rooting for these guys?"

I had to read through the last ~10 pages because I had to bail out early for a prior engagement. Sucks I missed it, I would have loved to see this walk off live. This was a real ballsy comeback for the Nats.

In all fairness, that was mmnnzz calling me a dork.  But whatever.  I'm over it

Sorry if I made you feel bad for that dude. I saw you nagging negative people out (like myself) and got pissed off because of the results of the Nats and took it out on you. It wasn't a slight at you or gay people in general, I just got pissed off and let off and it happened to be at you.

If I was rational then I wouldn't try to nag you out, especially a fan who liked the Wizards at the times you did, before they were worth a damn. But yeah, sorry. I was pissed and acted a dick.

Any way, nice walk off, hopefully our guy tomorrow Fists them and we have a season series win.
