But since Aiken was healthy and had not had injury, there may not have been an MRI or Xray available for Houston to review.

This is what I'm thinking.

But it is clear teams do have access to medical records prior to the draft. Which is a revelation.

As a side note I think Rick Giolito ran point on the negotiations with the Nationals. Sometimes an advisor is just that.

After reading the latest UCL stuff from Fleisig and Andrews, I would plan on any high school pitcher taken in the first round to be damaged goods.
