Well not everything is happiness in Fishy Land - Marlins pitcher Juan Carlos Oviedo suspended eight weeks for identity/age fraud - another one of those Dominicans with wonky chronologies: http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/7980498/miami-marlins-juan-carlos-oviedo-banned-8-weeks-id-fraud

He was formerly Leo Nunez and was on the restricted list. Hence why they signed Larry The Cable Guy.

Even the 1927 Yankees lost 44 matches....

Not a single one of them to the stinkin Marlins though.

Missed the game today, sold the power boat and took the canoe out instead, time to request a name change.

I listened to this game on the radio on the way back from Ocean City today.  They had a couple of good breaks and we had a couple of bad breaks.  Except for the loss, this was a decent game - a loss I can definitely live with.  The first and second with none out inning where Coughlan made a nice catch and Zim had a GIDP definitely hurt, but Zim will probably have more of those as the season progresses - grounders and line drives up the middle are just part of his game.

We're still in good shape if we win one out of the next two.

THIS DAY WITH THE '05 OVERACHIEVERS: On Saturday 28th May 2005 the Nats lost their fifth straight in a 3-1 loss at St Louis - Molina's 2-run homer in the 2nd proves the difference, and Loaiza (remember his picture outside RFK that year?) took the loss: http://espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=250528124 - record now 24-25.
