It's official. Even post-lockout, the NBA is broken. This Chris Paul thing proved it.

What do you expect- they can trade him this year and get something or wait for him to walk in another year. In every other industry (including sports media that screams about this), no one has a problem with people choosing their employers.

Now the news is that the owners are livid about the NBA owned Hornets trading Paul and they're pushing the commissioner to cancel the deal.

I thought the deal was pretty good for every team. My problem with it was that it meant in the coming days the Lakers would've acquired Howard too somehow. It was inevitable. NBA does seem like a pretty easy league to make the best teams even better. Bad teams really don't stand a chance.

I have an NBA story to tell. Early last year, my dad and I drove up to Charlotte to see my Thunder play the Bobcats. We got there a couple of hours early to watch the practice and avoid the crowds. We walked in to a side door of the stadium without going through any security or checking our tickets. We went in to the arena, found our seats, and sat down. No one ever came to check our tickets, run us through any security, or anything for the entire time we were there. I could have brought a freaking gun in and shot Michael Jordan in the face.

I don't look at athletes as heroes anyways... I appreciate them for what they do as an athlete, but that's it.
