On the positive side, the New York Mets were considered to be a
Clown Team in the 1960's. They TRADED a nobody to get the
Washington Senators' manager, Gil Hodges, who transformed them into the
Miracle Mets, who won the pennant and beat the heavily-favored Baltimore Orioles, (who had the dangerous Frank Robinson playing), in the 1969 World Series.
