It's not rock bottom until were 10 games back at the end of April.

Its these early Philly series that are killing us when we are weak. Lets see how we fair vs the Brewers come this weekend.

We're not nearly as close to rock bottom as my beloved Indians are.

Go check out their lineup, take a look who's batting cleanup today... and then get back to me.

Giving up a grand slam to Placido Palanco is pretty much the lowest point any team can reach. I felt so dejected leaving the stadium yesterday and I am certain this morning that we won't even see .500 this year.

It's Wednesday, April 20th and the Nats are at .500 . Maybe we'll still finish below, but so far from
what I've seen this is NOT a 100-loss ballclub.

it's an 85-95 loss club like the 06-07 teams, there'll be a spark from the Strasburg callup though

next year has to be a winning team, since the advent of free agency, no top 10 market team has ever had 6 consecutive losing seasons - that would be an accomplishment in futility worth a HoF headstone

Yes I was wrong and also because of our four wins in those first nine games I won't be drinking coffee for the next two weeks, and if we win in the next five games I will have Lady Gaga as my ringtone. The link in the sig explains all.

I thought being a Nats fan took a pair, but that's a profile in courage, can't imagine being hit with Manny Acta twice

4/20 was yesterday.  Fond memories that date has, hazy memories but quite fond.

Why are they you're beloved Indians? Never mind, I went back to some of your posts and got the answer... :icon_mrgreen:

They're his "other" team.  His favorite AL team.

Haha, CatsEye with the ninja edit.  It was only the question when I posted the first half of this response.

And yet , the Indians take 4 of 5 from the White Sox so far.  I would say my beloved Sox are at the rock bottom.

That kind of sucks.  And, they are a "premium" game at Nats Park this summer.  And only the Orioles, Phillies and Sox were blackout dates for the Red Carpet rewards ticket program, so they are/were expecting a lot of interest in their first visit here since the 70's.

Did any of the e-mail and letter writers to Kasten or the club complaining about Opening Day get a reply? I know I didn't even get an acknowledgment, as opposed to past experience.

No response. I wrote the Kasten email address that was posted here and the Nats feedback system.

Waco and OK City were 4/19.  I prefer to assoicate that day with Lexington and Concord, Billy Rodgers and Joan Benoit, and watching morning baseball.

I think the 7/4 game v the Mets? was also a black out.
